With Love from Tulum: A 5-Day Itinerary With Boho Vibes, Jungle Adventures & Caribbean Bliss

Tulum is where barefoot luxury meets raw nature. Imagine sun-soaked beaches, swaying palms, lush jungle backdrops, and a town buzzing with earthy cafés, boutique shops, and eco-chic energy. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore ancient history, chase adrenaline, or indulge in fresh, local cuisine—Tulum has a vibe that’s effortlessly cool and soulfully inspiring. This 5-day itinerary blends the best of it all: beach days, cenotes, ruins, ziplines, and the freedom to feel the magic of Tulum.

Pro Tip: I’m sure you know in Mexico, wages are super low. Be sure to tip your guide fairly and graciously. They work very hard and are some of the kindest people we’ve ever encountered.

Day 1: Arrival & Beach Day Bliss

  • Morning/Afternoon: Arrive in Tulum and settle into your hotel, resort, or eco-chic Airbnb.
  • Midday: Head to Playa Paraíso or Playa Ruinas for your first taste of the Caribbean. Rent a beach bed or swing in a hammock.
  • Evening: Enjoy a relaxed dinner at Sale e Pepe or Trattoria Romana Tulum, then sip a mojito at Batey Mojito Bar, where cocktails are made with sugarcane crushed right at the bar.

Day 2: Boho Brunch & Tulum Town Wandering

  • Morning: Sleep in and take it slow—this is Tulum, after all.
  • Late Morning Brunch: Grab a colorful, plant-based brunch at Raw LoveMatcha Mama, or DelCielo.
  • Afternoon: Stroll through Tulum Pueblo. Explore local boutiques, artisanal markets, and charming street murals.
  • Evening: Snack on authentic tacos at Taqueria Honorio, then wind down with a beach walk or a cocktail in town.

  • Evening: Dine jungle-style at Kitchen Table or the elegant yet earthy Arca.

Day 4: Jungle ATV Ride + Cenote Swimming

  • Evening: Unwind after the adventure with a casual seafood dinner at El Camello Jr. or pizza from La Nave.

Day 5: Zip Line Thrills & Beachside Farewell

  • Morning: Head to Selva Maya or Xel-Há for a zip-lining experience over the jungle canopy.
  • Afternoon: Hit the beach one last time—Ziggy’s Beach Club or Papaya Playa Project are great for lounging with a drink in hand and a view.
  • Evening: For your last night, go big with dinner at Hartwood or Rosa Negra. Soak in the ambiance, music, and jungle-meets-luxury setting.
